Any and all vertical work may be risking your own life and and possibly that of others. Don't use any technique without thinking WHY you are using it, and don't use any equipment without knowing WHAT to use it for. Make sure you are completely trusting in your equipment's history and condition.
This isn't an instruction manual. Go find teachers and books and classes and experiment safely!
