Hobart RC Flyers provides MAAA qualified instructors for both fixed wing and helicopters. All members of the club receive free instruction. Membership also provides you with public liability insurance just in case your model injures or kills a spectator or other member. Dont be fooled, model aircraft have killed many people around the world over the years, they are dangerous and must be treated appropriately.
For anyone who wishes to learn to fly models the best piece of advice you will ever get is to join a club, so why not join ours?
The club also has much to offer the experienced flyer. We have a relatively small membership which means no crowded pits, flight lines, frequencies or airspace. We encourage diversification, experimentation and the use of new technologies as they apply to aeromodelling. Our field is also the closest to the Hobart CBD.
New members apply for a probationary membership. When the probationary membership period has been completed to the satisfaction of the club, the probationary member will be offered full membership. All members are required to pay the annual club subscription fee which is currently $130 for a senior and $80 for a junior, which includes the annual MAAA insurance.
