The Centre for Environmental Studies is a centre of postgraduate teaching and research in environmental studies and was established in 1975. We encourage people with a wide range of backgrounds and interests both to apply their existing skills to environmental problems and issues, and to develop new skills and modes of thought. Environmental opportunities and problems stubbornly refuse to fit within conventional academic boundaries: thus, the Centre teaches for wider perspectives than are commonly available from single disciplines.
